Compare the price of the Sims 3 DLC store to the Sims 4 DLC stuff packs and game packs, and tell me which is extremely overpriced.Īnd the thing is, I felt like no one ever complained about the prices at the Sims 3 Store. And thank you for posting some examples with numbers. If you wanna know what's "extremely overpriced", check here -> TS3 definitely has a lot of flaws but it's not really fair to say that expansion packs were always $40 because you're not getting the same amount/quality of content. Stuff packs can be fun for a certain look but getting so many is a waste of time and only interesting for builders.

Not to mention that we get more stuff packs which only have one gameplay item (we already have 7 with bowling announced) and TS3 we had 9 total. Like OP said you could get 4 life states + zombies in Supernatural for $40 but only Vampires costs $20 so if they did an individual game pack for each life state you would pay double the price.Īnd in TS3 there was a life state with each expansion, although some weren't as interesting I enjoyed playing all of them but in TS4 we've only gotten aliens (and ghosts in the base game). Someone posted a comparison chart a couple of days ago of the differences between Get to Work and Ambitions. I think the problem is that the expansions in TS4 don't seem to have as much as they did in TS3. And you can't tell me that the tools/labor that went into creating the DLC's were so costly that they need to overprice them.Īnyways, that's all I needed to say. Hell, I think everyone would be more willing to buy them if they were cheaper.

I would honestly be more willing to give them my money (when I have some money, that is) if they were cheaper. Don't get me wrong, I love playing The Sims 4 so far (I just got it a few days ago), but it's just super infuriating that they would make the DLC's so expensive.

Oh, and if you want to add some vampires to your game (just vampires, whereas The Sims 3 let you get vampires, werewolves, witches and fairies) you're going to have to pay twenty bucks. Forty dollars for some a few new jobs, some furniture, some clothes, and a few random things. Honestly, what is EA/Maxis's deal? All of their DLC's for Sims 4 are so freaking expensive! I mean, I could understand, for example, if the Get To Work expansion pack was twenty bucks (still expensive, but it comes with a lot of items, so whatever), but the thing is FORTY dollars.
